Humor (from a guest writer)

I’ve been on hiatus from writing in my blog, but I’ll never miss the chance to conscript invite a friend to be a guest writer. This comes from my good friend M.J. who loves to celebrate Thanksgiving even more than I do, I believe.

So I love the color orange and I’m always very curious about those that wear it boldy, especaly (duh!) boys!

So at the farmers market here in downtown this guy was wearing this awesome fall orange sweater.

So I’m checking him out and he looks familiar…but odd angle so I couldn’t get a good look.

He was waiting in a very long line for food.

I walked around to another tent space, hot greek boys hawking hummus and samosas (oh and by the way don’t miss the hot Israeli pushing cinnamon roasted almonds – always in a black wife beater – oh my! I digress).

So, the tent was void of customers and then orange sweater stands next to me and we are sampling stuff.

He is designing his meal when I realize it’s Lance Armstrong, he smiles and looks directly at me and says “I love samosas.”

…guess what my no filter ass says back to him!!

“I love the idea of you and Jake riding bikes together.”

He breaks into a very big slow smile and says “If you can’t be honest, who can you be.”

Then proceeds not to make a fuss and pays for my samosas and baklava as well.

Waved bye and crossed the street.

(fin)

I’m thankful for samosas!

What are you thankful for!?
