Jennifer Beals. You know her, you love her from Flashdance. She played the part of the hard working construction woman who disobeys the feminist commandments. She dances to make some extra money on the side. Were she really the dancer in that movie, I’d like her a lot more. But no, she had a stand in. What a loser. Until… oh wait, she appears as a supporting actress in The Anniversary Party. She can act. I haven’t had a chance to watch her munch some rug in The L Word. Think I need to check her acting talent out in that series, too. As an aside, Alan Cumming has gained status about where Alan Rickman sits. Sure, the dude did Spy Kids, but he also did the gem of the film Titus. Go watch Titus if you haven’t. Mel Gibson could learn something about portraying Shakespeare plays on screen from Alan and Anthony.
