I’ve heard of Eddie Izzard before, but I’d never seen any clips or performances of his until yesterday. My favorite comedians look and act onstage exactly like I’d imagine if I had a conversation with them offstage. One of the best examples of this is Eddie Murphy’s Delirious, released in 1983. Eddie Murphy never gave a stand-up performance as incredible after this. I’ve spent years hoping the DVD will come out, but no, the new-age puritans who can’t take separate fantasy from fiction have collaborated to deny the re-release. After watching Eddie I. yesterday, I can happily end my search for Delirious.

Despite what it sounds like for the first 40 seconds, the clip is appropriately titled Technology.
